I'm a huge romantic shipper and this season wrecked me in the best way. The chemistry between Red and Rod is off the charts, and every scene where they're torn apart hurt so good. The sponsor storyline added a layer of jealousy that made my heart race. I cried, I swooned, I need more!

Okay, the acting is decent, but the plot relies too heavily on miscommunication that could be solved with one honest conversation. Some pacing issues in the middle episodes also dragged the tension. I get that it's a drama, but it felt a little contrived. Still, the emotional payoff near the end barely saves it.

Visually, this season is a step up from the first. The lighting in the sponsor's apartment scenes is moody and gorgeous, and the close-ups capture every micro-expression beautifully. The color palette shifts from warm to cool as the relationship fractures – subtle but effective cinematography. A feast for the eyes among Filipino BLs.

I appreciated that the show didn't glamorize the sponsor relationship – it clearly showed the power imbalance and how desperation can lead to choices that compromise self-worth. However, I wish the narrative had spent a bit more time on Rod's agency and consent within that dynamic. Still, it's an important conversation starter for queer viewers.

The soundtrack in this season is incredible – the recurring instrumental theme during their confrontations gives me chills every time. I keep replaying the scene where the sponsor's leitmotif first plays. Music elevates the angst perfectly. Wish there was a full OST release!
