I went in expecting something trashy based on the title, but this was honestly so cute! The way Jae On keeps chasing Hyeon Seo gave me butterflies, and Yoo Jin Seok's longing stares melted my heart. Sure, it's short and the kisses could be smoother, but for a quick dose of fluff it totally worked for me.

Four 8-minute episodes can't build a believable romance, and Private Lesson proves it. The younger lead is annoyingly pushy, the teacher gives in way too fast, and the logic of them meeting again at the same university is shaky at best. Even Yoo Jin Seok's acting can't save this rushed, forgettable story.

I appreciate that the drama isn't as explicit as the title suggests, but I can't ignore the problematic power dynamics. Jae On's persistent pursuit crosses into harassment territory—he ignores repeated 'no's and boundary-setting. The tutor eventually giving in sends a weird message. Worth watching only with a critical eye.

Visually, this is one of the better-looking short BLs from Trufilm. The color grading is warm and cozy, and the close-ups of Yoo Jin Seok's face are gorgeous. However, the repetitive flashbacks eat up runtime, and the blocking in the kiss scenes feels stiff. A solid effort within constraints, but not a visual masterpiece.
