In the hushed corridors of a shared home, a secret love blossoms in the shadows. Younger brother Xiao Yu has harbored a desperate crush on his older stepbrother, Li Wei, for as long as he can remember. But Li Wei only has eyes for girls, treating Xiao Yu's affection as a 'happy trouble'—a harmless, amusing burden. For Xiao Yu, however, every glance and casual touch is a silent storm of longing and fear. When his carefully hidden feelings begin to seep through the cracks of their daily routines, Xiao Yu must decide whether to confess and risk everything or continue suffering in silence. This six-episode Chinese BL miniseries captures the raw, bittersweet tension of unrequited love within a family bond, set against dreamy cinematography and a haunting soundtrack. A poignant exploration of desire, boundaries, and the courage to speak the unspeakable.

I really wanted to love this, but six episodes of eight minutes each just isn't enough to build real stakes or connection. The acting and music are top-notch, and the cinematography is gorgeous—but the rushed pacing made the emotional twists feel hollow. If this were a proper full-length series, it could have been great.

Despite the short runtime, I was completely drawn into Xiao Yu's painful longing. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and the dream sequences are beautifully shot. Yes, the ending is open and a bit rushed, but the emotional journey is worth it. I'm glad it's free on YouTube—more people need to see this hidden gem.

The manipulation from the younger brother bothered me from the start. Even when he 'confesses,' I never felt I could trust him—it felt like coercion disguised as love. The older brother's sudden 180° turn also felt forced and unrealistic. I wish the show had addressed the consent implications more clearly.

Oh, the visuals! Every frame is like a painting—soft lighting, warm tones in the shared home, and cold blues in the younger brother's solitary moments. The camera work during the dream sequences is pure poetry. I wish the plot had as much depth as the aesthetics, but for a short series, it's a feast for the eyes.

The soundtrack is absolutely haunting. The main theme perfectly captures the feeling of wanting someone you can't have—soft piano with a melancholic guitar riff. It repeats a lot, but it never gets old. I've already added it to my playlist. If you love music-driven BLs, this one will get under your skin.
