People Like Us Season 2 returns to Singapore for a deeper, more emotionally charged exploration of queer life in the Lion City. Following the interconnected journeys of four gay men—Joel, Ridzwan, Rai, and Isaac—this short but powerful series dives into the messy, beautiful, and often painful realities of love, identity, and acceptance. As they navigate family expectations, societal pressures, and their own internal conflicts, each character faces pivotal moments that test their relationships and self-worth. This season ramps up the drama and romance, offering raw, authentic moments of vulnerability and resilience. With a compact six-episode arc, the show masterfully balances heartache with hope, delivering a poignant slice-of-life story that feels both universally relatable and uniquely Singaporean. It’s a must-watch for anyone seeking sincere, well-acted LGBTQ+ storytelling that doesn’t shy away from the hard truths of living authentically.

I am completely blown away by how real this show feels. Joel and Ridzwan's story touched me deeply—it's rare to see a BL that handles family rejection and self-acceptance with so much care. The tears were worth it. A must-watch for anyone who wants true representation.

I appreciate the attempt at realism, but the pacing felt off in the middle episodes. Some subplots, especially Rai's, seemed rushed and underdeveloped. The emotional beats land, but the writing could have been tighter. Still, a solid effort for a web series.

I love that this series doesn't shy away from toxic relationships and power dynamics within the queer community. Isaac's storyline about consent and boundaries was handled with surprising nuance. It's refreshing to see a BL that educates while entertaining.

The cinematography is simple but effective—lots of intimate close-ups and warm lighting that really sell the emotional weight of the scenes. Some of the outdoor shots of Singapore give it an authentic local flavor. Not groundbreaking, but visually pleasant.

Yes, the main couples are great, but can we talk about Rai and Isaac?! Their angsty, slow-burn side story absolutely stole my heart. They had me crying in the last episode. More screen time for them, please! This series knows how to balance multiple storylines.
