The laughs—and the scares—are back at the Thamma Nakanimitr Temple in this riotous sequel to the hit Thai horror-comedy. After the events of the first film, peace has finally returned, but a new, more vengeful spirit emerges with a deadly curse: anyone ordained at the temple cannot disrobe, and those who try face a gruesome fate. Returning favorites Monk Nong, First, and Balloon find themselves trapped in monkhood, while a K-pop idol named Min-Jun arrives to fulfill his mother's promise and gets caught in the chaos. Joined by a gaggle of novice monks and the temple's eccentric residents, the group must unravel the ghost's tragic past life and break the curse before it claims another victim. Blending outrageous physical comedy with surprisingly heartfelt moments about friendship, loyalty, and Buddhist rituals, Pee Nak 2 delivers a wild, laugh-out-loud ride that's more hilarious than horrifying—even the ghost can't stop the jokes.

I’m a sucker for Thai horror-comedies, and this one delivered exactly what I wanted: nonstop chaos and belly laughs. The ghost lore is actually interesting, and the way they tied in past lives was cool. Not scary at all, but the comedic timing of the monks is perfect.

I came for the cute idol character and stayed for the hilarious ensemble. The chemistry between First and Balloon is adorable, and Mean’s K-pop idol was a fun addition. This movie made me laugh so hard I cried. If you liked the first one, you’ll love this even more!

The plot is a bit messy with two curses that get confusing, but once you figure it out, the narrative is engaging. The comedy saves it from being a total mess, though I wish the horror elements were stronger. Solid sequel, but not groundbreaking.

The soundtrack caught me off guard—the main theme is catchy and perfectly fits the film’s tone. It’s upbeat during hilarious scenes and melancholic during the ghost’s backstory. The music elevated the whole experience for me.

While the film is mostly for fun, I appreciated the subtle nods to Buddhist traditions and the importance of keeping promises. The queer-coded characters are handled with humor rather than mockery. It’s not deep, but it respects its cultural roots.
