Chan Sol has lived his entire life in the shadows—an orphan with no friends, no family, and no sense of belonging. Everything changes when he meets Park Hanhoo, a feared and enigmatic boy whose unruly hair hides a troubled past and a face that terrifies even the toughest school gangs. Despite his intimidating reputation, Hanhoo is drawn to Chan Sol's quiet resilience, and an unlikely friendship begins to blossom. But when a horrific event shatters Chan Sol's world, he is thrust into a dangerous underworld of mafia politics, violence, and secrets. As the lines between protector and prisoner blur, Chan Sol must navigate a treacherous path where love becomes both a lifeline and a weapon. I am absolutely wrecked. The chemistry between Chan Sol and Park Hanhoo is off the charts – every glance, every touch felt so earned and real. Even in just one episode, their emotional connection had me crying and smiling at the same time. This is how you do slow-burn romance right!

I wanted to love it, but the mafia plot felt rushed and full of clichés. A single episode isn't enough to build a believable gangster world, and some character motivations were thin. That said, the central romance was genuinely touching – I just wished the writing matched the performances.

Every frame of this drama is a painting. The lighting, especially in the rain scenes, creates such a moody, intimate atmosphere. The use of shadows to show Hanhoo's hidden face and Chan Sol's loneliness is brilliant. I'd watch a whole movie just for the cinematography alone.

The scoring is subtle but powerful – a melancholic piano theme that swells during the most emotional beats. I wish there was an official OST release because the music perfectly captured the tension between danger and tenderness. It elevated every scene.

While I appreciate the attempt to show trauma bonding, the power dynamics between Chan Sol and Hanhoo are troubling. Hanhoo's initial actions border on possessive and controlling, and the narrative doesn't fully interrogate that. A more nuanced conversation about consent and recovery would have made this stronger.
