In this tender and deeply heartfelt K-BL film, we follow the story of Lee Wan and Shin Gi Tae, two childhood best friends whose bond was severed when Gi Tae suddenly disappeared after high school. Seven years later, fate brings them back together when Lee Wan, now a talented illustrator, lands a job at a game development company—only to find his long-lost friend working there as a programmer. As they navigate their professional collaboration on a dating simulation game, old feelings resurface and buried secrets come to light. With stunning performances by Lim Hyun Hee and Lee Yun Seul, this movie adaptation streamlines the original series into a cohesive, emotionally resonant narrative. The film beautifully captures the anxiety of unspoken love, the thrill of rediscovery, and the courage it takes to say what was left unsaid. Perfect for fans of soft, realistic second-chance romances, Our Dating Sim (Movie) delivers a wholesome and genuine love story that will leave you smiling through tears.

I am absolutely in love with this movie! The chemistry between Lim Hyun Hee and Lee Yun Seul is off the charts. Their shy glances and playful banter made my heart flutter. This is the sweetest second-chance romance I've seen in K-BL. A must-watch for hopeless romantics!

While the movie captures the emotional essence well, I found the pacing a bit choppy. The flashback transitions felt abrupt and some character motivations were unclear if you haven't watched the series first. Still, it's a charming story with solid acting.

The visual storytelling in this film is underrated. I loved the color palette—especially how green is used around Gi Tae's character to symbolize growth and hope. The rooftop scene lighting was gorgeous. Low-budget but creatively directed.

The OST perfectly complements the tender moments. There's a particular piano piece that plays during the flashbacks that instantly tugs at my heartstrings. I've been listening to it on repeat. Wish the soundtrack was released officially!

I appreciate how this movie handles themes of anxiety and fear of rejection without resorting to toxic tropes. The communication between the leads, while not perfect, feels realistic. It's refreshing to see a BL where emotional safety is prioritized.
