A year after Haruta and Maki pledged their love, Haruta returns from overseas to a warm but changed reception. His boss, the eccentric Kurosawa, and colleagues welcome him back, but Maki now works elsewhere and seems distant. Enter Justice Yamada, a mysterious new recruit with a hidden agenda. As Haruta navigates workplace antics and relationship doubts, the story explodes into a whirlwind of chaotic comedy, heartfelt conversations about marriage equality in Japan, and an absurd action-packed plot involving kidnappings and explosions. Beneath the over-the-top humor lies a sincere exploration of what it truly means to build a future together as a gay couple in a society that’s still catching up.

I absolutely adored seeing Haruta and Maki tackle real-life struggles like marriage and family acceptance. Their chemistry is still electric, and the emotional payoff at the end had me in tears. The comedy is over-the-top but it only makes their love story sweeter.

Who knew a BL movie could have such ridiculous action sequences? The chase scenes, the burning building rescue, and the explosion set-pieces were a blast. It doesn't take itself seriously, and that made it even more fun. Definitely a wild ride!

The movie tries to juggle too many things: relationship drama, workplace comedy, an action thriller plot, and a new character who feels like a Haruta clone. It's entertaining but messy. The kidnapping subplot felt forced, and Maki's constant misunderstandings got tiresome.

I appreciate how this film openly discusses marriage equality and the societal pressures on gay couples in Japan. That said, the boss's comedic lack-of-consent moments still rub me the wrong way, even if they're less frequent here. Progress, but not perfect.

I live for Chief Kurosawa! He steals every scene with his dramatic confessions and actually calls out Maki for not appreciating Haruta. And Justice Yamada brought such a chaotic energy – I wish they'd gotten more screen time together. A fun addition to the franchise.
