Toon is a young, introverted gay man living with an essential tremor, a neurological condition that causes his hands to shake. When his auntie asks him to look after her son, Point—a charismatic and openly gay man who uses a wheelchair due to paraplegia—their worlds collide in an unexpected way. What begins as a simple favor quickly blossoms into a tender, fast-paced romance that challenges both men to confront their own insecurities and desires. Director Nicchi Nitchapoom Chaianun crafts a deeply intimate portrait of two individuals navigating love, intimacy, and disability with raw honesty and gentle humor. This 40-minute indie gem shines a much-needed spotlight on disabled characters as fully realized romantic leads, proving that connection and passion transcend physical limitations. With natural performances from Earth Wachirawit Kanthayom and Nutto Nutdanai Jaithita, One Day Miracle is a heartfelt, bite-sized story that will leave you believing in the power of small moments.

I gave this an indie bump because the representation is genuinely important. Seeing a wheelchair user and someone with a tremor disorder as romantic leads—handled with care—is rare. The caring moments between Toon and Point felt real. The pacing is a bit slow, and the romance needed more development, but the intent and execution of disability as part of their love story rather than a tragedy is commendable.

The story's message about equal sexual rights for disabled people is noble, but the 40-minute runtime does it no favors. The relationship feels rushed and underdeveloped—they go from strangers to lovers with barely any buildup. Also, some character behaviors felt inconsistent (e.g., the guy laughing while talking about his dad's death). Good acting can't fully fix the weak script.

I'm absolutely in love with Toon and Point! Their chemistry is so natural and tender—I smiled through the whole film. The way they support each other and find joy in small moments melted my heart. Yes, it's short, but it's pure romance with zero unnecessary drama. A must-watch for anyone who believes love conquers all.

For an indie production, the lighting and framing are surprisingly good. The close-ups capture every flicker of emotion, especially during the quieter moments. The color palette leans warm and soft, fitting the intimate tone. I wish the soundtrack had been more prominent to elevate the mood, but visually it's a lovely little film.

I wanted to love the music, but honestly, there's very little background score. The few piano cues are nice but underwhelming. The sound design relies heavily on dialogue and ambient noise, which works for realism but leaves the emotional beats feeling flat. The actors' performances carry the weight instead. A stronger OST could have made this truly memorable.
