In this poignant 22-minute short film, three teenage friends—X, Max, and TK—find themselves trapped in a heartbreaking love triangle where none of their affections align. X secretly pines for Max, Max is hopelessly in love with TK, and TK quietly adores X. When each character finally gathers the courage to confess their feelings, the fragile bonds of their friendship are tested to the breaking point. What unfolds is a tender, bittersweet exploration of unrequited love, misread signals, and the quiet devastation of wanting someone who wants someone else. Directed with sensitivity by MindTrio (the studio behind *On Cloud Nine* and *Calculating Love*), this short film captures the raw ache of teenage longing through gorgeous cinematography, subtle performances, and a melancholic soundtrack. It’s a beautifully crafted, emotionally resonant slice of life that will leave you thinking about the pain and beauty of loving without being loved back.

This short film captured the agony of unrequited love so beautifully. I could feel every character's heartbreak, especially Max's confession scene. The acting was raw and the cinematography made everything feel so intimate. A must-watch for anyone who loves angsty romance.

The premise had potential but the execution was confusing. The flash-forward opening made it hard to follow the relationships, and the characters' reactions didn't always make sense (why smile if you don't like someone?). The open ending felt unsatisfying. Decent acting but needed tighter writing.

MindTrio continues to impress with their visual storytelling. The lighting and framing in this short film were gorgeous, especially the sunset scene and the awkward moments of unspoken tension. The music score subtly enhanced every emotional beat. Technically, it's a well-crafted piece.

I appreciate that the film tackles the complexity of teenage crushes and unrequited love, but I was uncomfortable with the bullying/teasing dynamic between X and Max. It felt like gaslighting in some scenes. The rejection scenes were handled sensitively, though. Worth discussing for its portrayal of mixed signals.

The background music really carried the emotional weight of this story. I loved how the piano motifs repeated during key confessions. Not a lot of songs since it's a short, but the sound design was effective. Would love to see MindTrio release the score.
