In the gritty, neon-lit underbelly of 1990s Japan, private detective Matsuzawa is haunted by the brutal murder of his wife. Caught in a tangled web of grief and obsession, he finds himself the object of desire for two very different men: his devoted, quietly yearning assistant, and a mysterious stranger implicated in the very crime that shattered Matsuzawa's life. As the investigation deepens, forbidden emotions simmer beneath the surface, forcing all three men to confront their darkest impulses. Part erotic thriller, part tragic romance, *Omoi wa Anata Dake* is a raw, unflinching exploration of love twisted by violence and loss—a cult pink film that dares to blend tender longing with crime-fueled dread. Its emotional core lies in the question: can love survive when it's born from blood and betrayal?

I know the rating is low, but I adore this film. It's so raw and unpolished—the 90s aesthetic with grainy film, the moody lighting, and that desperate, doomed love triangle. Sure, the plot is messy, but the emotional weight really hits if you're into dark, erotic noir. A hidden gem for fans of vintage pink cinema.

I came for the detective story and left confused. The murder mystery is an afterthought—completely overshadowed by long, uncomfortable sex scenes more focused on shock value than narrative. The characters are shallow, and the 'twist' is predictable. Hard pass unless you're specifically hunting for exploitation cinema.

This broke me in the best way. The way Matsuzawa's grief feeds into his twisted relationships—the assistant's silent devotion and the killer's guilt-ridden obsession—felt so real and painful. Yes, it's explicit and dark, but the tenderness buried in the violence is unmatched. A true cult masterpiece for those who love their romance tragic and raw.

I couldn't get past the portrayal of consent. Several scenes involve coercion and power imbalance framed as passion, and the film doesn't seem to interrogate that at all. As a social analyst, I found it more disturbing than romantic. Feels very much like a product of its time—but that doesn't make it easier to watch.

As a historian of queer Japanese media, I find this fascinating despite its flaws. It's one of the first BL-adjacent pink films to actually center two men in a romantic/erotic context while weaving in a crime plot. The acting is wooden and the budget is low, but the audacity earns my respect. Not for beginners, but essential for hardcore collectors.
