Han Ba Da, a talented chef nursing a broken heart, escapes to a serene seaside village to open his dream udon restaurant. But serving customers proves harder than he anticipated—until a mysterious musician named Tommy stumbles into his life, bringing warmth, music, and an unexpected spark. As the two grow closer over steaming bowls of noodles and snowy beach walks, Ba Da begins to heal, but Tommy’s own unresolved dreams threaten to pull him away. A tender, slow-burn romance set against stunning coastal landscapes, *Ocean Likes Me* is a healing journey about learning to put yourself first while leaving room for love. With heartfelt performances by Han Gi Chan and K-pop star Holland, this movie version weaves the original web series into a cohesive, emotionally resonant story that prioritizes atmosphere and quiet connection over dramatic twists.

I adored the chemistry between Ba Da and Tommy! Han Gi Chan is such a sweet actor and Holland's awkwardness somehow worked perfectly for his gentle character. The udon scenes were so cozy and romantic. Yes, the ending felt rushed and left me with questions, but honestly I didn't care because they were just so cute together. Perfect weekend watch with a bowl of noodles.

The plot holes were infuriating. Why did Tommy leave without a single word? Why the unexplained one-year gap with zero communication? The script needed serious development. That said, the cinematography was lovely and the leads had potential. It's a real shame the writing let them down so badly.

Visually, this movie is a treat. The snowy beach, the warm glow of the udon shop, the winter sunlight filtering through the windows—every shot is postcard-worthy. The editing for the movie version is much more cohesive than the series. It's a soothing visual experience even if the story stumbles.

Holland's voice is absolutely beautiful! The OSTs really elevated the emotional moments—especially the song that plays when Tommy and Ba Da are on the beach. The background music perfectly captures the healing vibe of the seaside. I wish there were more tracks, but what we got was spot-on for the mood.

As a BL, the lack of communication between the leads really bothered me. Tommy's sudden departure without explanation and his equally abrupt return without any real discussion sets a questionable example for relationship dynamics. The theme of self-healing is nice, but the execution around mutual decision-making felt poor and left me uncomfortable.
