Set against the backdrop of a city in COVID-19 lockdown, 'Now Streaming' follows Marco, a popular gay influencer whose carefully curated online life hides a secret crush on his reclusive neighbor, Alex. When a mysterious stalker begins leaving eerie messages on Marco's live streams, the line between reality and performance blurs. As Marco and Alex tentatively connect through shared balcony conversations and cryptic video calls, a slow-burn romance blossoms amid growing paranoia. But the horror isn't just external—Marco must confront the isolation of fame, the pressure of performative perfection, and the terrifying possibility that the person watching him might be closer than he thinks. A uniquely Filipino blend of psychological horror and tender queer romance, this six-episode series captures the claustrophobia and unexpected intimacy of pandemic life while exploring themes of vulnerability, trust, and the courage to be truly seen.

I was completely swept away by the quiet intimacy between Marco and Alex. The way their relationship unfolds through glances and voice notes during lockdown felt so real. The stalker plot kept me on edge, but the romance is what made my heart flutter. A hidden gem that deserves way more hype!

I appreciate the ambition of mixing horror and BL, but the pacing drags in the middle episodes. The stalker reveal felt a bit predictable, and Alex's backstory is underdeveloped. Still, the cinematography and sound design are top-notch for a low-budget series. Worth a watch if you're in the mood for something atmospheric.

The visual storytelling here is stunning—the use of reflections in phone screens, grainy webcam feeds, and the constant presence of barriers (windows, balconies) really sells the isolation theme. The color palette shifts from warm home lights to cold blue digital tones as the horror escalates. A feast for the eyes.

While the romance is sweet, I couldn't ignore the problematic undertones of Marco's secret crush involving some voyeuristic behavior (checking Alex through binoculars). The show does address this later, but it could have been handled more critically. Still, it's refreshing to see a BL that engages with the ethics of online stalking rather than romanticizing it.

The soundtrack is incredible—haunting piano pieces that turn into warm indie guitar during romantic moments. The original song 'Stream of You' perfectly captures the longing. I still listen to it on repeat. The audio design (echoes in empty streets, static on video calls) adds so much to the eerie vibe.
