When a devastating flood sweeps through his neighborhood, lonely office worker Meen finds an unexpected lifeline: a pristine white Samoyed dog who waddles into his home seeking shelter. Naming the fluffy canine 'Khun Niran,' Meen discovers that caring for the dog brings light and purpose to his otherwise gray, monotonous life. But when he takes Khun Niran for a checkup, he meets Tul, a gentle veterinarian who challenges Meen's closed-off heart. As the two men bond over doggy playdates and late-night walks, a tender romance begins to bloom—complicated by the arrival of a meddling ex-girlfriend and the playful antics of Khun Niran himself. Adapted from I'm Mynt's novel 'What's the Nong?', this Thai miniseries balances sweet meet-cutes with the chaotic reality of pet ownership. While its pacing stumbles and technical edges are rough, the sheer adorableness of the Samoyed and the earnest, raw performances from debut actors Sky Chaithawat and Kong Kongphom give the story a clumsy but genuine charm. For viewers who love dogs and don't mind a little narrative fluff, DogBro offers a heartwarming, if imperfect, escape.

I went in for the dog and stayed for Meen and Tul. Sky and Kong have this adorable awkwardness that made me smile even when the script was clumsy. The ice cube scene was ridiculous but also kind of endearing? Not a masterpiece, but if you love fluffy romance and Samoyeds, you'll find something sweet here.

Pokpong and Sun saved this show for me. Park and Tiger had such natural ease with each other—their chemistry felt effortless compared to the main couple. I wish they had gotten more screen time because every scene with them was gold. That kiss in episode 4 actually had heat, unlike the main leads' pecks.

This was a slog. Each episode drags on for 45 minutes but could have been trimmed to 20. The exposition dump at the start is painful, and the comedy sound effects are cringe-worthy. The story is full of clichés—love triangle, crazy ex-girlfriend—and the acting is flat. Even the dog can't save it from boring writing.

The visual inconsistency drove me nuts: one moment sunny, next shot cloudy with a completely different color grade. The editing jumps are jarring, and the sound mixing is amateurish (sudden loud music). That said, the Samoyed is beautifully shot, and there are a few nicely framed close-ups of the leads. A lot of potential wasted by poor technical execution.

I appreciated that the series showed a condom box and implied ongoing intimacy between the main couple after they got together—that's positive representation. However, there's a troubling subplot where the ex-girlfriend is threatened with flea powder, played for laughs, and the manhandling between characters is never addressed. The consent in the kisses is ambiguous (Sun kisses back then gets angry). Could have been better.
