What if you could step into your twin's life — and discover a world you never knew existed? That's the electrifying premise of *Not Me*, a groundbreaking Thai BL series that transcends genre boundaries. Fifteen years after being separated by their parents' divorce, White and Black are strangers. But when White receives a desperate call that his twin brother is in a coma after a brutal attack, he makes a reckless decision: impersonate Black and infiltrate the motorcycle gang he led to find the culprit. The problem? Black was cold, violent, and feared. White is gentle, idealistic, and utterly unprepared. As he fumbles through Black's world of rooftop parkour, secret missions, and fierce loyalty, White finds himself drawn to Sean — the one gang member Black hated most. Sean is a firebrand with a tragic past, fighting against a corrupt system that took everything from him. Their chemistry is explosive, but the truth is a ticking bomb. Meanwhile, the gang is entangled in a dangerous war against a powerful businessman, Tawi, and his political allies. *Not Me* is a visceral, emotionally charged ride that weaves romance, social commentary, and high-stakes action into an unforgettable tapestry. It dares to ask: can love bloom in the ashes of injustice? With stunning cinematography, a killer soundtrack, and a cast that pours their soul into every frame, this is not just a drama — it's a revolution.

I came for the BL but stayed for the insane parkour and fight scenes. The rooftop chases, the warehouse brawls, the way they use the environment — it's like a Thai action movie injected with heart. Sure, tiny Gun taking down SWAT guys is a bit unrealistic, but who cares? It's adrenaline-pumping fun. The oil wrestling scene alone deserves an award. The action never overshadows the story; it amplifies it. If you want romance and explosions, this is your show.

Off and Gun are magic. I've watched all their shows, but Not Me is on another level. The way Sean softens for White, the way White's kindness cracks Sean's armor — my heart couldn't take it. Their first kiss under the rainbow flag? I sobbed. This isn't just a love story; it's a revolution of the soul. Every glance, every touch, every whispered 'I'm here' — it's pure poetry. If you're a romantic like me, prepare to be wrecked in the best way.

Yok and Dan stole the show for me. First and Gawin's chemistry is electric — that scene in the police station where Yok paints Dan's hand? I felt it in my bones. Their story is so tragic and complex: a cop who killed an innocent man, and an artist who loves him despite the blood on his hands. The show didn't give them enough screen time, but every moment was gold. I'm honestly more invested in them than the main couple. Need a spinoff immediately.

I really wanted to love this, and the ambition is admirable. But the writing is messy. White's investigation goes nowhere; he forgets why he's there. The twin connection is underused. Todd's villain arc fizzles out. And the finale wraps everything up with a neat bow that doesn't match the gritty tone. Plus, the political lectures drag on — show, don't tell. Still, the acting is superb, and the themes are important. It's a 7/10 because it tries so hard, but execution could have been tighter.

This is the most visually stunning BL I've ever seen. Every frame is a painting — the way they use natural light, the color grading (muted browns and golds for the gang, cold blues for the rich), the dynamic camera movement during protests and fights. The scene where White dances under a rainbow flag with light streaming through his palm? Iconic. The directors Nuchy and team knew exactly how to make every shot serve the emotion. Even the product placements were integrated subtly. A masterclass in visual storytelling.

The music in Not Me is its own character. From the haunting piano that plays during White's lonely moments to the anthemic rock that fuels the protests — every track is perfectly chosen. I immediately searched for the OST on Spotify. Songs like 'Not Me' and 'Free Fall' are still on my daily playlist. The way the score swells during the final rooftop scene still gives me chills. The sound design (ambient noise, silence before a punch) adds so much texture. This is how you do a soundtrack right.

Not Me is a landmark in queer media for its unflinching look at systemic injustice. But as a sociologist, I have mixed feelings. The show's centering of White (a privileged outsider) as the voice of reason subtly undermines the gang's lived experience. The non-violence messaging feels sanitized — real revolutions aren't clean. Yet, I love how it portrays solidarity, community, and the importance of fighting for others. The Dan/Yok storyline raises uncomfortable questions about forgiveness and accountability. It's flawed but necessary. A brave attempt at something bigger than BL.

I read the novel before watching, and I have to say the adaptation did a fantastic job capturing the essence. The book had more internal monologue from White, but the show expanded the side characters beautifully — especially Gumpa and Eugene, who felt flat on the page. Some changes (like the ending) were welcome because they felt more hopeful. The only disappointment is that the twin bond was more mystical in the book; here it's almost forgotten. Still, a rare case where the adaptation enhances the source material.
