I am absolutely in love with Jin U and Eun Hyeok! Their chemistry is off the charts even in these tiny episodes. The way Eun Hyeok softens for Jin U and how Jin U learns to loosen up—perfection. The hugs and kisses made my heart flutter. I totally ignored the format complaints because the romance hit all the right notes for me.

The story had potential but the vertical format and rushed pacing killed any depth. Character motivations felt inconsistent—Jin U goes from being furious to suddenly forgiving without proper buildup. The non-consensual kisses are never addressed as assault, which is a huge storytelling flaw. If this were a proper 8-episode series, it could've been great, but as a 90-second-per-episode clip show, it's just okay.

For a low-budget vertical series, I was pleasantly surprised by the lighting and framing. The soft focus on the leads during intimate moments, the use of natural light in the dorm scenes—it all felt very deliberate. The color palette shifts subtly as their relationship grows. If only the camera could go horizontal sometimes, but they made the best of the format.

I wanted to love this, but the way the show handles non-consensual kisses is deeply problematic. Eun Hyeok forces kisses on Jin U twice, yet the narrative never holds him accountable—instead, it frames it as romantic tension. Jin U is expelled alongside his assaulter, which feels like victim-blaming. The homophobic outing and slap are also brushed aside. The sweet moments can't make up for the lack of consent awareness.

The background music really elevated the short scenes—there's a piano theme that plays during their tender moments that I keep humming. Even the band performances by Eun Hyeok felt authentic. I wish the OST was released separately because the music added emotional weight that the quick cuts sometimes lacked. Definitely worth checking out if you appreciate how sound can tell a story.
