I am absolutely OBSESSED with Tinn and Gun. This is the definition of puppy love done right — every eye lock, every shy smile, every time Tinn blushes when Gun teases him... I’m screaming into my pillow. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the way they support each other’s dreams (Gun’s music, Tinn’s future as a doctor) just makes my heart melt. No toxic drama, just two boys falling in love in the most adorable way possible. Also, the OST is a banger — I’ve had ‘Just Being Friendly’ on repeat for weeks. 10/10 would rewatch forever.

I get the hype, but honestly, this series dragged. The first few episodes were cute, but by episode 6 I was checking how much time was left. The constant interrupted kisses felt cheap, and the whole 'can't date before the competition' rule was so contrived. The side couples (especially TiwPor) were barely developed, and the pacing in the second half really sagged. I wanted to love it as much as everyone else, but I just found myself bored. The music is good, though, and the main actors have genuine charm. Just not for me.

What a visually stunning show! The color palette is warm and nostalgic — all those golden afternoon shots, the pastel lockers, the soft lighting in the music room. The cinematography really captures the dreamy, innocent vibe of first love. I especially loved the dance scene in episode 3; the framing and slow-motion felt like a music video. Even the product placements were integrated with style. The editing is crisp, and the pacing (despite what some say) felt intentional — letting those sweet moments breathe. A feast for the eyes.

I came for the BL but stayed for the MUSIC. Every song in this series is a total earworm. Fourth’s voice is angelic in ‘Just Being Friendly’, and Gemini’s deeper tones in ‘Hook’ give me chills. The live performances feel so raw and real — the band actually sounds like a high school band, not a polished studio group. ‘Rock & Star’ made me cry. The soundtrack isn’t just an accessory; it drives the emotional arc of the show. I bought the full album and don’t regret it one bit.

Finally, a BL that models healthy communication! Tinn and Gun actually talk about their feelings, set boundaries, and never manipulate each other. Tinn’s mother’s arc is particularly powerful — she goes from a stern principal to a parent who realizes her son is terrified to come out, and she steps back to create a safe space. The show doesn’t pretend homophobia doesn’t exist (that teacher scene was uncomfortable but realistic), but it handles it with nuance and resolution. My only critique is the lack of a proper kiss until the finale feels a bit like the writers were avoiding physical intimacy, which could be read as cautious. Still, a refreshingly respectful drama.

Can we talk about Win and Sound? Their bickering-to-lovers dynamic was the real highlight for me. They had so much tension and chemistry — every time they argued, I knew they were secretly in love. But GIVE THEM MORE SCREENTIME! The show focused so heavily on TinnGun (which is fine, they’re great) that WinSound felt like an afterthought until the last few episodes. Still, their scenes together are electric, and the actors have great comedic timing. I’d watch a whole spin-off just of them. Also, Por and Tiw’s sudden romance was cute but rushed.

This was my very first BL drama and I am HOOKED. I was looking for something sweet and light, and My School President delivered beyond my expectations. The leads are so charming — I caught myself smiling like an idiot the whole time. The music is incredible (I’ve already saved all the songs), and the friendships between the band members feel genuine. I loved that there was no heavy angst or toxic behavior; it just made me feel happy and warm. Perfect entry point for anyone new to the genre!
