Set in the hallways and hidden corners of an all-boys school in Thailand, *My Friendship* is a raw and heart-wrenching short film based on a true story. Bank and Jack start as distant classmates, but a single daring touch—Jack’s hand on Bank’s thigh—ignites a secret, purely physical relationship. Their trysts in school bathrooms are silent, wordless affairs, blurring the lines between lust and a deeper, unspoken connection. As their hidden world grows, Jack reveals a truth about his identity that shatters their fragile bond, forcing Bank to confront his own fear and prejudice. A poignant tale of love, loss, and the devastating consequences of rejection, this film packs an emotional punch that lingers long after the credits roll. It’s a stark reminder of the struggles many LGBTQ+ youth face, delivered with surprising honesty and powerful performances in under 40 minutes.

This film broke my heart in the best way. It's not your fluffy BL—it's painfully real. The silent longing between Bank and Jack, the way they only spoke through touch... I felt every second of their confusion and fear. The ending left me in tears, but I'm glad stories like this exist. Based on a true story, it's a punch to the gut you won't forget.

Honestly, the teasers oversold the steaminess, but the actual film is a decent 30-minute watch. The acting is solid—Mon really carries the emotional weight—but the story feels rushed and the music didn't fit the mood. I wish they'd chosen either a slow-burn romance or a torrid affair instead of awkwardly mixing both. Still, worth seeing for the powerful central scene.

What struck me most is the institutional silence—Bank and Jack have sex repeatedly but barely speak. It's a haunting portrait of how internalized homophobia and societal pressure can poison intimacy. Jack's transgender reveal is handled delicately, though I wish we had more context. The actors convey deep confusion and desire with just their eyes. A flawed but important short film.

This is a punch in the gut—exactly what queer cinema needs. It doesn't prettify reality; it shows how a young trans boy and a confused gay kid can destroy each other under societal pressure. Yes, the budget is low and the edit is rough, but the raw emotion and the actors' commitment make up for it. I watched both parts and found the sequel even stronger. Not for the faint of heart.

I struggled to connect. We barely get to know the characters before the big reveal, and the suicide feels thrown in for shock value. Jack's trans identity is introduced but never explored—it's more of a plot twist than a genuine part of the story. The acting is decent, especially Bank's, but the whole thing feels like a rough student film with too many loose ends. I'd skip it unless you're desperate.
