My Day the Series is a chaotic, campy, and utterly addictive Filipino rom-com that throws logic out the window in favor of pure, unfiltered chemistry. Meet Sky (Miko Gallardo), a bright-eyed culinary intern who stumbles into the ultra-luxurious world of Ace Tan (Aki Torres), a spoiled, temperamental food company heir with more daddy issues than business sense. What starts as a whirlwind of cringe-worthy encounters and accidental job offers quickly spirals into a full-blown, over-the-top romance complete with dramatic rain scenes, a kidnapped dog, an ex-girlfriend villain, and a bodyguard/housekeeper named Miss Becky who steals every scene. The show wears its heart on its sleeve, championing LGBTQ+ love, found family, and acceptance while never taking itself too seriously. It's a guilty pleasure that knows it's a mess and dares you not to love it.

I don't care what the critics say—Sky and Ace are IT. The chemistry is off the charts, the kissing is actual REAL kissing, and their love story felt like a warm hug even when the plot made zero sense. I watched the whole thing in one sitting and immediately rewatched episode 8. Pure dopamine.

I wanted to like this, but the writing is all over the place. Characters change personalities between scenes, the ex-girlfriend's scheming drags on forever without any real consequences, and the dognapping plot is laughable. The leads have sparks, but that doesn't excuse the lack of coherent storytelling.

I appreciate that the series normalizes gay intimacy and shows a supportive family, but I have serious issues with how sexual harassment is played for laughs and how the villain gets away with attempted murder. The message of forgiveness is nice, but accountability matters too. Still, Sky's family scenes made me cry.

The OST 'Hindi Ako Bibitaw' lives rent-free in my head. That song alone elevated so many emotional scenes. The orchestral score during the romantic moments gave it a real Disney fairytale vibe, which I honestly loved. The music team understood the assignment even when the script didn't.

Visually, it's a mixed bag. Some shots are genuinely beautiful—the rain scene, the fancy restaurant, Ace's wardrobe—but the lighting is often flat and the editing clunky. The production design for the cake competition looked embarrassingly cheap. Still, I admire the ambition and the sheer volume of product placements they crammed in.
