Five years after the devastating death of his step-brother and first love, Golf, Bank has built a fragile new life in Chiang Mai—completing his studies and even finding a steady boyfriend, Arm. But on the day of his graduation, a stunning revelation shatters everything: Golf is alive. The man he mourned has been living abroad all along, and his entire world—including his family and friends—was complicit in the deceit. As Bank struggles to reconcile his lingering love with the betrayal, Golf tries to explain the impossible choice he made. This sequel doesn't just focus on the angsty reunion of its main couple; it expands into other love stories set against the same campus backdrop, exploring how love, trauma, and time reshape lives. A landmark Thai BL that dared to bring back a dead character, *My Bromance 2* is a messy, heartfelt, and divisive return to a beloved universe.

I came for the angsty reunion of Golf and Bank, but I got a chaotic mess of four side couples barely tied to the main story. The logic behind the five-year fake death is flimsy at best, and the pacing is excruciating—so many lingering stares that go nowhere. Fluke Natouch tries valiantly, but even he can't salvage this disjointed script.

Honestly, I skipped through most of Bank and Golf's scenes. The real gold here is Nuea and Tar—their story about a troubled teen and his tutor actually had emotional weight and a bittersweet ending that felt real. Too bad they got as much screen time as the main couple. If you're willing to fast-forward, this series has hidden gems.

Multiple scenes normalize drunk sex without clear consent, and a predatory producer forces himself on a young actor—all played for drama without any real critique. The message at the end about being the 'first BL' feels arrogant when the show itself perpetuates harmful tropes. I can't recommend this to anyone who cares about ethical storytelling.

Look, I know the writing is a mess and the side couples eat up too much time, but I will defend Fluke Natouch's Bank with my life. His heartbreak when Golf reappears absolutely wrecked me. And the final ring exchange scene? Yes, I cried. If you loved the original movie, you need to see this for closure. Just be prepared to fast-forward through the filler.

The instrumental score—especially those desperate strings during the grave scenes—is genuinely beautiful and carries the emotional weight the script often lacks. Too bad the actual songs are forgettable. I'd listen to the OST on its own, but it can't save the series from being a bloated, disappointing sequel.
