When Punn, a gentle vintage shop owner with a traumatic past, is asked by a friend to restore a mysterious, vandalized painting for an upcoming gallery exhibition, he has no idea he's about to unlock a century-old curse. A careless cut from a shard of glass causes his blood to drip onto the canvas, shattering the magical seal and freeing Ramil—the charismatic yet bewildered leader of a vampire clan. Thrown into a modern world he barely recognizes, Ramil is immediately drawn to Punn, who in turn finds himself caught between an inexplicable attraction and a deeply buried hatred for the supernatural beings that shattered his childhood. As Punn is pulled deeper into the hidden world of vampires, he discovers that Ramil's clan is not the monstrous entity he believed them to be. Instead, they are a fractured family—brothers bound by blood and loyalty, each hiding their own scars. But not everyone welcomes a human into their midst. Ciar, a fiercely protective vampire, views Punn as a threat, while a shadowy organization of vampire hunters—whose origins may be tangled with Punn's own past—begins to close in. The series weaves a darkly enchanting tale of forbidden love, found family, and the painful choice between vengeance and forgiveness. With stunning Gothic aesthetics, a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, and a plot that blends emotional angst with moments of unexpected levity, *Revamp the Undead Story* offers a fresh take on vampire lore. It explores whether love can truly transcend the barriers of mortality and species, and what sacrifices are worth making for eternity.

I've been waiting for Boun and Prem to reunite on screen, and Revamp did not disappoint! Their chemistry is electric—every glance, every touch feels so sincere. The scene where Ramil learns to use a smartphone? Absolutely adorable. Of course the vampire lore has holes, but who cares when the main couple makes your heart flutter this much? The ending left me in tears, but in a good way. 9/10 for the feels!

I wanted to love this, but the script is a mess. The tonal whiplash between goofy comedy and supposed tragedy made me dizzy. Why does no one act like a rational human being? Punn literally sees a vampire appear from a painting and offers him tea—what? The hunter subplot goes nowhere, and the final resolution feels like they ran out of budget. Some decent acting from Mark and Barcode, but the main couple's kisses are painfully stiff. A frustratingly wasted premise.

Visually, this is one of the best-looking Thai BLs I've ever seen. The color grading is rich and moody—deep crimsons and blues that really sell the vampire aesthetic. The opening title sequence is a work of art. Even the fight scenes, though slightly choreographed, are framed beautifully. I wish the story had more consistency, but I'll watch anything that looks this gorgeous. A feast for the eyes.

Honestly, I only kept watching for Methas (Mark) and Pokpong. Their dynamic had so much potential—angsty, dangerous, with that 'I can fix him' energy. But the writers completely sidelined them! We got zero resolution for their storyline. Barcode as Ciar was another highlight; he actually felt like a real vampire. If this gets a season 2, I hope they give the side couples the screen time they deserve.

The music in Revamp is incredible! I've had the main theme on repeat for weeks. The orchestral score during the emotional scenes hits hard, and the insert songs perfectly capture the bittersweet tone. Even the sound design—the subtle echoes in the vampire lair—adds so much atmosphere. A soundtrack that elevates the whole viewing experience.

I appreciate the found-family theme, but the power dynamics between Ramil and Punn are troubling. Ramil can literally read minds—how is that ever balanced? The whole premise relies on Punn trusting a being who could manipulate him without his knowledge. The series brushes past this with romantic montages. Also, the hunters are painted as one-dimensionally evil, while the vampires' past crimes are glossed over. Not the nuanced take on supernatural relationships I was hoping for.

Who choreographed these fights? A high school play? Episode 8's big battle is laughable—vampires that can't even land a punch, hunters that stand around waiting to be hit, and CGI that looks straight out of 2005. The only decent sequence was Methas's fight in episode 6, but that's a tiny drop in a sea of cringe. If you want good vampire action, watch a K-drama. This is just a romance in dark clothing.

As someone who read the original novel, I'm disappointed but not surprised. The book had a much darker tone, with real consequences and a more complex Ramil. The drama turned him into a comic relief character and cut out most of the lore about the painting's origin. The Ciar vs. Punn tension was also way more intense in the source material. That said, the casting is perfect—Boun and Prem embody the roles well, even if the script fails them.
