Ace (Ivan Andrew Payawal) is the picture-perfect heir to the powerful Mendoza family—privileged, polished, and under immense pressure to uphold his family's pristine reputation. Gio (Topper Fabregas) is a confident, openly gay porn content creator and sex worker who lives life on his own terms, free from societal constraints. When these two opposites collide, they discover an unexpected and electric connection that transcends their starkly different worlds. But as Ace struggles to reconcile his genuine feelings for Gio with the suffocating expectations of his conservative family, their relationship is put to the ultimate test. 'My Boyfriend Is a Sex Worker' is a bold, emotionally charged Filipino film that fearlessly explores class divides, sexual agency, and the courage it takes to love authentically against all odds. With raw performances and a story that balances steamy romance with heartfelt drama, this is a must-watch for anyone craving a love story that dares to break every rule.

I absolutely loved this film! The chemistry between Ace and Gio is off the charts—every look, every touch feels so real. Finally a movie that doesn't shy away from showing two people genuinely in love, no matter their backgrounds. I cried, I swooned, I rewatched it immediately.

Great concept and the leads do their best, but the script feels rushed. The family drama is introduced and resolved too conveniently, and some subplots (like the friend's role) are underdeveloped. It could have been a deeper exploration, but it settles for melodrama. Still, worth a watch for the brave topic.

I appreciate how the film handles Gio's agency—he's never portrayed as a victim, but as someone who owns his choices. The power dynamics with Ace are handled with care, and the consent conversations feel organic. However, I wish the script had addressed more of the systemic issues sex workers face. Still, a step in the right direction for Pinoy BL.

The cinematography really stood out to me—warm lighting, intimate framing, and a color palette that shifts from cold corporate blues to warm, golden tones when Ace and Gio are together. The director knows how to make a scene feel visually luxurious without being distracting. A treat for the eyes.

The music in this film is understated but effective. There's a recurring piano motif that plays during the emotional peaks—simple, haunting, and beautifully paired with the intimate scenes. I wish there were a full OST release because the original songs really elevated the mood. Not groundbreaking, but very fitting.
