Yeon U is a lonely art student whose final project—a marble sculpture of his ideal man—becomes far more than a masterpiece. Every night at midnight, the statue awakens as Ha On, a living, breathing man with no memory of his past and a childlike curiosity about the human world. What starts as a surreal secret quickly blossoms into a tender, forbidden romance as Yeon U teaches Ha On about love, touch, and the messy beauty of being alive. But as dawn approaches, Ha On must return to stone, and the countdown to morning forces them to confront impossible questions: Can a statue learn to love? And can a human let go of someone who only exists in darkness? This short but emotionally charged Korean BL weaves fantasy, erotic tension, and heartfelt vulnerability into a compact, visually striking fairy tale.

I wanted to love this so much because the idea of a statue coming to life is my dream fantasy trope, but the execution fell flat. The kissing was nice, but the actors had zero spark—it felt like they were just going through the motions. Still, it's short and steamy enough to watch once for the novelty.

The premise is intriguing, but the plot is paper-thin. How does a statue know how to do certain intimate things but is clueless about basic human emotions? The logic holes ruin any immersion. For a 20-minute watch, it's not terrible, but don't expect a coherent story.

I had real issues with the consent dynamics. Ha On starts off with no understanding of his own body or desires, yet the show rushes into explicit scenes without giving him agency. For a fantasy that could explore power and autonomy, it just uses the setup for titillation. Not for me.

Visually, this is a treat—the contrast between cold marble and warm skin is beautifully shot, and the lighting creates a dreamy, melancholic mood. The cinematography carries most of the emotional weight. The acting isn't great, but if you appreciate art direction, it's worth a look.
