In the bustling streets of Manila on a lonely Christmas Eve, a frustrated swipe on a dating app leads to an unexpected connection that neither stranger saw coming. When Jay, a young professional nursing a broken heart, and Marco, a free-spirited artist running from family expectations, match at the witching hour, they impulsively agree to meet for coffee. What begins as a tentative late-night date transforms into an intimate journey through neon-lit parks, quiet food stalls, and hidden rooftop views of the city. As they share secret wishes, childhood memories, and the fears they hide from the world, one night stretches into a dawn of possibility. This two-episode miniseries captures the magic of New Year’s Eve romance—fleeting yet profound, shy yet daring—and asks whether love can bloom in the space between midnight and sunrise. With delicate performances from Axl Romeo and his co-star, the series is a tender ode to LGBTQ+ love and the courage it takes to say 'yes' to a stranger.

I'm an absolute sucker for holiday romance, and this short series delivered everything I wanted! Jay and Marco's chemistry is so natural—they laugh together, they're shy together, and that rooftop scene with the fireworks made me tear up. Two perfect episodes of pure, gentle love.

Look, it's cute, but the pacing is off. The whole 'strangers meet via dating app' setup is convenient, and some conversations feel too rehearsed. For a two-episode series, I wish they had cut the slow-motion montages and given us more real dialogue. Still, the leads are charming enough to carry it.

The cinematography in this little gem is surprisingly gorgeous. They used the Manila neon lights and rain-soaked streets like a painting—every frame feels intentional. The color grading (warm oranges for the café, cool blues for the rooftop) visually tells the emotional arc. A feast for the eyes.

I appreciate that this series models healthy communication. Both characters explicitly ask before touching and check in on each other's comfort levels. It's refreshing to see a BL where emotional vulnerability isn't forced, but gently earned. My only critique: the dating app 'wish' premise feels slightly like magic, not reality.

The original soundtrack for this series is criminally underrated! That acoustic guitar piece that plays during their walk in the park—I've had it on repeat. The songs perfectly match the quiet, hopeful mood. If you love BL music, this one's a hidden gem. Give me a full album release, please!
