I really tried to like this because I loved Tutor and Yim in *Cutie Pie*, but the writing here is abysmal. The comedy relies entirely on Jade screaming and making weird faces, and the plot barely moves for five episodes. Mai has zero personality beyond 'adorable stalker'. Skip unless you have an extremely high tolerance for cringe.

Ignore the haters—this show is exactly what I needed. Yes, Jade is extra, but that's the point! He's a shy insecure guy who expresses himself through exaggerated panic, and Mai's patient devotion melts my heart. The rose-eating scene? Iconic. Their NC scenes were surprisingly tender. If you want pure, unapologetic fluff, watch the uncut version and smile through the silliness.

I only kept watching for Gus and Tong. Their bickering-to-lovers arc was way more compelling than the main couple. Tong's cold exterior slowly cracking for Gus felt earned. Meanwhile, Jade's constant screaming gave me a headache. Give me a spin-off with those two, please!

I read the novel and loved how mature and nuanced Jade was. The drama turned him into a cartoon character, removed whole subplots, and made Mai into a bland prince charming. The timeline change ruined the character motivations. If you want a good adaptation, read the book. This is a painful miss.

The OST is played on loop every five minutes and it drove me crazy. Otherwise, the show is a mess—bad editing, weird sound effects that kill any romantic vibe, and the music during steamy scenes doesn't fit. Even the actors couldn't save this. Such a shame because the cast is talented.
