In this artsy Taiwanese short film, two men—nicknamed 'Dog' and 'Cat'—meet through a casual hookup that quickly becomes entangled in unspoken rules. Cat, impatient and yearning for something deeper, wants to break the game’s boundaries and develop a real relationship. Dog, however, is hiding a boyfriend at home, using encounters like these to escape his own loneliness. Set almost entirely in a single, intimate room, the film relies on charged glances, fragmented dialogue, and theatrical performances to tell a story about the gap between physical connection and emotional vulnerability. It doesn’t hand-feed you the plot; instead, it asks you to read between the lines, exploring what it means to seek love when you’re afraid of being truly seen. A raw, melancholic meditation on fleeting intimacy and the cost of longing.

I went in expecting just another adult short, but the framing and lighting blew me away. The one-room setting felt like a stage play, with shadows and close-ups telling more than words ever could. It's not for passive viewers—you have to lean in and read the emotions written in the characters' faces. A visually stunning meditation on desire.

There is almost no plot here, just two guys going through the motions of a hookup that tries to be profound. The dialogue is sparse to the point of being cryptic, and the ending doesn't answer any of the questions it raises. If you want a coherent story, skip this; it's more of an excuse for explicit scenes than a genuine narrative.

Okay, I normally live for fluffy romance, but this gritty, messy story got under my skin. The chemistry between 'Dog' and 'Cat' is raw and painfully real—you can feel their loneliness. I wish the ending gave us a bit more closure, but the vulnerability they share in that tiny bathtub made my heart ache. Not for everyone, but I found it strangely beautiful.

I appreciate the attempt to portray the messy reality of hookup culture and infidelity, but the power dynamics are uncomfortable and never fully addressed. Dog is cheating on his boyfriend, Cat is desperate for stability—neither really talks about consent or boundaries. It feels like it naturalizes emotional manipulation without critique. Worth watching for discussion, but not as entertainment.

The musical score is minimal but effective—a few ambient piano notes that amplify the tension and emptiness. I wish there had been a bit more variety, but the silence between the sounds actually works in this setting. Not a standout soundtrack, but it complements the intimate, claustrophobic atmosphere well enough.
