In the raw and emotionally charged miniseries *Lust Never Lasts*, the line between desire and love blurs for a group of young Filipino men navigating the treacherous waters of modern relationships. At its heart is a bisexual protagonist caught in a tangled web of lust, loyalty, and self-discovery. When a passionate affair threatens to unravel a seemingly stable partnership, the series dives deep into the uncomfortable questions we often avoid: Can lust ever evolve into something lasting? Or is it inherently self-destructive? With a compact six-episode run, the show wastes no time in laying bare the vulnerabilities, jealousies, and fleeting highs of physical attraction. Featured performances by Son Son, Nickson Santos, and the ensemble cast bring a raw, unpolished authenticity to every heart-wrenching confrontation and tender moment. *Lust Never Lasts* doesn't offer easy answers—it instead holds a mirror up to the chaos of bisexual love, asking viewers to sit with the discomfort and beauty of messy, human connection. It's a bold, stripped-down Filipino BL that prioritizes emotional truth over fluff, making it a thought-provoking watch for those ready to explore love in its most complicated form.

I actually loved the chemistry between Son Son and Nickson—they had this electric push-and-pull that kept me glued. Sure, the plot gets messy and some scenes felt rushed, but the intense emotional moments totally made up for it. Wish there were more BLs that dare to show the ugly side of love like this.

I get what they were trying to do—explore lust vs love—but the execution was all over the place. The dialogue felt like a lecture, characters made baffling decisions, and by episode 4 I just didn't care anymore. A 6-episode series shouldn't feel this padded.

I appreciate the attempt to center a bisexual narrative, but the way the show handles consent and emotional manipulation is problematic. Several scenes normalize guilt-tripping and possessive behavior without any real accountability. Worth discussing, but not without a trigger warning.

Visually, this is one of the better-looking low-budget BLs I've seen—neon-lit night scenes, intimate close-ups, and a color palette that actually matches the mood. The cinematography carried the weak script for me. I'd watch a sequel just to see more of that handheld rawness.
