Love's Coming is a heartwarming Thai BL film that captures the sweetness of first love and the unbreakable bonds of friendship. Set in a high school, the story follows Gump, a shy and studious boy, who finds himself drawn to the charming new neighbor Nai. As their friendship deepens into something more, Gump's group of wonderfully supportive and hilariously nosy friends become determined to play cupid. They scheme, spy, and cheerlead their way through proving the two are in love, all while Gump grapples with his own feelings. With a cast of lovable characters, a supportive single mom, and even an understanding ex-girlfriend, the film delivers a feel-good experience that prioritizes acceptance and joy over drama. Expect tender moments, laugh-out-loud antics, and a whole lot of heart as this tale of young love unfolds under the shadow of a beautiful giant tree.

I absolutely adored this movie! The romance between Gump and Nai is so pure and innocent. The candlelight scene had me melting. And the friends? They are the ultimate wingmen! This is my go-to comfort film whenever I need a smile. Highly recommend for anyone who loves fluffy, feel-good BL.

I appreciate the heartwarming intentions but the plot is a mess. The narrative jumps around too much and the romance develops unrealistically fast—they've known each other a week? The friends are fun but sometimes annoying. Also the ending left me puzzled. Still, it's charming enough for a one-time watch.

While this movie has a lot of sweetness and a genuinely supportive friend group, I have to point out the problematic early scenes using Kathoey stereotypes for laughs. That said, the movie redeems itself by giving that character depth later. Also, the ex-girlfriend's handling of the situation is surprisingly mature. Overall a mixed bag but important as a time capsule of early Thai BL.

The music in this film is so fitting! The soft guitar tracks during the romantic scenes really enhance the emotion. However, the sound effects and foley are distractingly off at times—like the footsteps and ambient noise. Still, that main theme song is stuck in my head. Worth it for the soundtrack alone.

For a low-budget film, the cinematography has its charming moments. That giant tree where Gump wakes up is stunning. The candlelit scene is beautifully framed. However, the overall production is rough—shaky camera, inconsistent lighting. Yet that homemade aesthetic gives it a nostalgic, home video feel that fits the story.
