In this tender and turbulent Filipino BL film, a young university student named Andrei finds his quiet world upended when two of his closest friends—the charismatic and protective Marco, and the sensitive, artistic Leo—both confess their romantic feelings for him. What begins as a confusing predicament quickly evolves into a heartfelt journey of self-discovery, as Andrei navigates the uncharted waters of polyamory and learns that love doesn't always fit into neat boxes. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Manila, *Love Triangle* explores the beauty and complexity of opening one's heart to more than one person, challenging societal norms and the fear of judgment. With raw performances, intimate moments, and a narrative that respects all three perspectives, this short film captures the emotional chaos and liberation of choosing love—not between two people, but alongside them. Perfect for fans of realistic, character-driven queer stories.

I was completely swept away by the chemistry between all three leads. The way Andrei hesitantly explores his feelings for both Marco and Leo felt so genuine, and I loved that the film didn't force a monogamous ending. A beautiful, messy love story that made my heart ache in the best way.

I appreciate the attempt at polyamory representation, but the short runtime really hurt the pacing. The love triangle resolves too quickly, and we don’t get enough backstory on why each relationship works. Some emotional beats feel rushed—could have used another 20 minutes to breathe.

Visually, this film is a feast. The cinematographer used warm golden tones for scenes with Marco and cooler blues for Leo, subtly hinting at the different energies each love interest brings. The shot of Andrei standing between them under a streetlamp is pure art. Aesthetic perfection.

As a social value analyst, I was relieved to see a film where polyamory isn't treated as a joke or a phase. The characters explicitly discuss boundaries and jealousy, which is refreshing. However, I wish the film explored the societal pressures more—Andrei's family and friends are absent, making it feel a bit insulated.

The soundtrack is a hidden gem. The original song that plays during the climactic rooftop scene gave me chills—its gentle acoustic guitar perfectly matched the vulnerability of the moment. I've been humming it all week. More BL films need this level of musical care.
