Love Syndrome is a dark, controversial Thai film that dives deep into the toxic aftermath of revenge and trauma. The story centers on Itt, who orchestrates a cruel plan to manipulate Night into falling for his friend Gear—setting off a chain reaction of pain. When Day, Night’s protective older brother, discovers Itt’s role in the scheme, he retaliates in the most brutal way possible by raping Itt. What follows is a harrowing exploration of power, guilt, and twisted obsession, as the lines between victim and perpetrator blur. This isn’t a typical romance—it’s a raw, uncomfortable look at the consequences of violence and the dark corners of desire. Love Syndrome pushes boundaries with its mature themes and unflinching depiction of sexual assault, making it a polarizing watch for those who dare to face its heavy emotional weight.

I went in expecting a gritty drama, but all I got was a messy excuse to film non-consensual scenes. The plot is paper-thin, characters act illogically, and the so-called 'moral complexity' is just shock value. A waste of a potentially interesting premise.

This film romanticizes and fetishizes rape under the guise of revenge—it's deeply harmful. The lack of any constructive discussion about consent or trauma is appalling. I cannot recommend it to anyone who values healthy relationships or ethical storytelling.

I usually love dark BL, but this one missed the mark. The 'chemistry' between the leads feels forced and cruel rather than passionate. I wanted some twisted romance but got pure brutality with no emotional payoff. Not for me.

I read the original novel and the adaptation butchered the characters' nuances. Itt and Day had more depth on the page; here they're just props for explicit scenes. Such a disappointment for fans of the source material.

Visually, the film has some striking lighting and colors that capture the grim mood. But great cinematography can't save a story that leans too heavily on exploitation. I appreciated the technical craft even if the content made me uncomfortable.
