In this vibrant 2024 remake of the iconic Thai BL that started it all, high school student Pun finds himself caught between his girlfriend Aim and his overbearing father's wish for him to date a friend's daughter. Desperate to avoid an arranged match, Pun's little sister Pang—an avid BL fan—suggests a scheme: why not pretend to have a boyfriend? Enter Noh, Pun's long-time schoolmate and the charismatic leader of the school's music club. Noh agrees to the fake relationship in exchange for help reviving his club, but as they act out their charade for Pang and their peers, the line between performance and reality begins to blur. With both boys still tangled in existing relationships—Pun with Aim and Noh with his persistent admirer Yuri—the emotional stakes rise. What begins as a playful ruse slowly blossoms into first love, filled with hesitant glances, quiet jealousy, and the sweet ache of discovery. Set against a backdrop of school festivals, band competitions, and a sprawling cast of friends and rivals, this coming-of-age story captures the messy, tender chaos of teenage life and the courage it takes to be true to yourself. Fresh, funny, and heartwarming, it's a love letter to queer youth everywhere.

I'm absolutely in love with Pun and Noh! The way they look at each other, the shy smiles, the accidental touches—my heart can't take it. Almond and Progress have this magic that makes every scene feel so real and tender. This is the sweetest fake-dating story I've seen in ages. I'm already rewatching their favorite moments!

I wanted to love this, but the pacing is agonizingly slow. The main couple's progress gets stuck in a loop of jealousy and miscommunication, and with dozens of side characters getting random scenes, the story loses focus. The leads are talented, but the writing needed tighter editing. Cut 5 episodes and it would have been much better.

I watched this mainly for Earn and Pete, and while they got robbed of screen time, every moment they had was gold. The hair-drying scene in episode 9? Pure poetry. Krit is such a magnetic actor, and the pining from Pete broke my heart. I just wish the show had given them a proper ending together instead of leaving them hanging.

The music in this series is phenomenal! Boy Sompob's score perfectly captures every bittersweet emotion, and the song Earn sings during his confession scene gave me chills. The Shake OST MV is on repeat for me. The soundtrack alone makes this worth watching—it elevates the whole teenage longing vibe.

As someone who read the original novel, I appreciate how this adaptation streamlined the bloated side plots from the 2014 version. They kept the core Pun-Noh dynamic intact and even improved Aim's arc. But the removal of their first kiss from the novel (which happened much earlier) felt like a step back, especially given the actors' chemistry.
