Returning to the lush, rustic charm of rural Thailand, Love Poison Season 2 reunites us with the beloved Taeng-Go and Seak-Tak as their love story deepens against a backdrop of traditional music, countryside sunsets, and playful village life. This season tests their bond with classic romantic hurdles—misunderstandings, outside interference, and the challenge of staying true to themselves while fighting for their relationship. While retaining the warm, authentic vibe of its predecessor, the series leans into musical numbers, heartfelt confessions, and the undeniable chemistry of its returning cast. New characters add comedic and dramatic layers, but at its core, the season is a sweet, sometimes frustrating, yet ultimately uplifting exploration of what it means to never stop fighting for love. Perfect for fans who crave a Thai BL with a unique rural setting and a heavy dose of folk-infused romance.

I absolutely adored this season! Taeng-Go and Seak-Tak's chemistry is off the charts—every kiss felt real and earned. The countryside setting gave me such a warm, fuzzy feeling, and I loved all the little traditional songs. Sure, there were some frustrating misunderstandings, but the happy ending made it all worth it. Total comfort watch!

I wanted to love it as much as season 1, but the writing here is a letdown. The main conflict revolves around a ridiculously stretched misunderstanding that could've been cleared up with one honest conversation. The female side characters feel tacked on and serve no real purpose. On the plus side, the acting is solid and the music is pleasant, but the story just lacks the originality that made the first season special.

Okay, the plot might be a bit messy, but the MUSIC! I'm a sucker for musical BLs, and Love Poison 2 delivers with at least one or two folk-style songs per episode. The cast sings live and you can feel the heart they put into it. The instrumental backdrop of the Thai countryside just elevates every scene. I've already added the OST to my playlist. If you love music integrated into romance, this is a gem.

Visually, this series is a breath of fresh air. The golden-hour shots of rice fields, the rustic wooden houses, and the wild grasses—it's like a love letter to rural Thailand. The camera work isn't groundbreaking, but it's warm and intimate. Some of the editing is a bit rough (you can spot actors waiting for cues), but the overall aesthetic vibes make up for it. A cozy visual treat.

I was really hoping the secondary couple would get more depth, but they were underdeveloped and overshadowed by the main leads' repetitive drama. The new teacher character had potential, but his pairing felt random and forced. The female antagonists were annoying and didn't add much. I still enjoyed the main couple's sweet moments, but this season definitely suffered from sequelitis.
