When Chinese businessman Yang arrives in Thailand chasing a crucial partnership, he never expects to find himself entangled with Phumjai, a quirky convenience store owner whose obsession with a Chinese pop star borders on fanatical. Their worlds collide when a mistranslation and a shared goal force them into an unlikely business partnership. What starts as a clash of cultures and personalities slowly blossoms into something far more tender—a bi-awakening, a romance built on late-night convenience store talks, and the dream of turning a struggling minimart into a success. With Phumjai's infectious enthusiasm and Yang's quiet determination, they navigate loan sharks, meddling family, and their own growing feelings. Love in Translation: Uncut is a heartwarming, laugh-out-loud journey about finding love where you least expect it, complete with steamy improvised moments and the kind of chemistry that makes your heart skip a beat. It's fluffy, funny, and surprisingly emotional—a feel-good gem that proves love speaks louder than any language barrier.

I'm completely obsessed with Daou and Offroad! Their chemistry is off the charts—you can tell they're really in love. The convenience store scene had me screaming. This is the fluffiest, sweetest BL I've watched all year. Ignore the haters, the ending was fine!

The main couple is cute, but come on—how do they open a new store while drowning in debt? The last two episodes were a mess of rushed resolutions and a kidnapping plot that felt straight out of a worse drama. Decent acting wasted on sloppy writing. Still, I've seen much worse.

The warm lighting in the convenience store at night is so dreamy—it really sells the intimacy. I love how they frame Daou's side profile; every shot is a postcard. Not the most groundbreaking cinematography, but it's cozy and effective. The color grading leans golden and soft, perfect for a romance.

The OST is incredibly catchy! The main theme plays at just the right emotional beats, and the instrumental score during the romantic montages is beautiful. I've added three songs to my playlist. Wish they'd release a full official album—the music really elevates the series.

I appreciated how the show handled Phumjai's initial fetishization of Chinese culture—it was uncomfortable but addressed by episode 3. The bi-awakening is portrayed authentically, and the NC scene is clearly enthusiastic and consensual. However, the slut-shaming subplot for a side character felt unnecessary and not properly criticized.
