Yeon Joo is a high schooler trapped in a cycle of self-loathing and explosive anger, pushing away everyone who tries to get close. When a chance conversation leads her to a mysterious ritual, she accidentally summons a playful, otherworldly being who can only be seen by her. This unexpected supernatural encounter forces Yeon Joo to confront her own identity as a young lesbian in a conservative society, her fractured family life with an absent parent, and the walls she's built around her heart. Part coming-of-age dramedy, part supernatural romance, *Love in the Tinder Age* blends lighthearted comedy with genuine emotional heft, exploring self-acceptance, queer friendships (including a charming gay supporting character), and the messy, beautiful process of learning to love yourself first. It's a short but punchy film that punches above its runtime with sincerity and a touch of magic.

I went in not expecting much from a short film, but Yeon Joo's journey really got me. Her anger and vulnerability felt so real, and the magical twist was honestly adorable. I just wish it were longer so we could explore the relationship more!

Visually the film has a lovely lo-fi aesthetic—soft lighting and simple compositions that match the intimate tone. The supernatural element is cute but feels a bit tacked on; I think a purely realistic version would have been stronger. Still, a solid effort.

The concept is interesting but the script needed more polish. The ritual setup feels rushed, and Yeon Joo's character arc jumps from angry to accepting too quickly without showing the work. The supporting characters are barely sketched. Watchable but forgettable.

I love how this film handles internalized homophobia and self-loathing without being preachy. Yeon Joo's anger is a symptom of her pain, and the story respects that complexity. The gay best friend is a nice touch, though I wish he had more screen time. A meaningful watch.

The soundtrack is cozy and fits the mood perfectly—soft indie guitar and piano that underscore Yeon Joo's loneliness. But the film itself is a bit too short to let the music really breathe. Nice background listening, but I wanted more emotional payoff.
