Get ready to dive back into the sun-soaked world of Love in the Air with this special episode that picks up during semester break. Rain and Sky, best friends and fellow boyfriends to two of the most possessive men in Thailand, decide they need a breather from their overwhelming relationships. They hatch a plan to escape to a secluded beach villa, vowing to leave their boyfriends Payu and Prapai behind and focus on themselves. But as you'd expect from these two couples, absence only makes the heart grow fonder—and more jealous. What follows is a playful game of cat-and-mouse, full of misunderstandings, cosplay kinks, steamy reconciliations, and a whole lot of laughter. The episode beautifully balances fluffy friendship moments between Rain and Sky with intense, mature intimacy from both couples. It also touches on LGBTQ+ rights and personal growth, especially for Sky who finally confronts his past insecurities. A gorgeous seaside backdrop, hilarious parallels, and sizzling chemistry make this a must-watch finale that feels like a warm hug—and a cold shower—all in one.

This special episode is everything I ever wanted! Payu and Rain are still the cutest chaotic couple, and Prapai and Sky's bathtub scene had me screaming into my pillow. The way they all love each other is just so beautiful — I’ll never get over their chemistry. Perfect fluff, perfect spice, perfect ending.

If you're here for meaningful storytelling, look elsewhere. The entire 'running away' premise is childish and recycles the same jealousy tropes from the main series. The sound design is distractingly bad — music drowns out dialogue, and some scenes feel rushed. That said, the NC scenes are well-shot, but that's not enough to save a script that goes nowhere.

Visually, this special is a treat. The beach villa is gorgeous, the lighting in the bathtub scene is soft and romantic, and the cosplay montage is fun. However, I have to deduct points for the inconsistent audio — the background music is often too loud and the mics pick up rustling noises. Great colour grading, but the technical flaws pull you out of the moment.

I appreciate that the episode includes a moment advocating for same-sex marriage rights, and Sky finally standing up to Pai's ex is empowering. But Rain's extreme jealousy and Payu's possessive 'daddy' dynamic can be uncomfortable. The power imbalance is played for kink, which is fine if consensual, but the lack of clear communication before some scenes is troubling.

The background music choices are actually good — the romantic piano pieces during the confession scenes hit just right. However, the mixing is a disaster. In several scenes the music overpowers the dialogue, and there's one track that sounds like elevator music. A proper sound edit would have made this a 10/10 experience for me.
