At 17, Zhan Wang returns to his hometown, carrying the crushing weight of a terminal brain cancer diagnosis. He expects nothing but hollow days, but instead collides with Xu Yuan — a brilliant yet isolated top student the entire town blames for their misfortunes. Two broken souls, each hiding their deepest wounds, are drawn together in a story that is both achingly tender and devastatingly raw. This Singaporean BL weaves a gripping emotional tapestry of first love, fate, and the desperate beauty of living fully when time is borrowed. With stellar performances from its young cast and a hauntingly atmospheric visual style, 'Lost to You' transcends the typical teen romance to ask profound questions about legacy, connection, and what we leave behind. Prepare for a slow-burn journey that will shatter you and piece you back together — a must-watch for anyone who believes the most powerful stories come from the heart.

I am completely wrecked. The chemistry between Zhan Wang and Xu Yuan is off the charts — every glance, every trembling hand, every quiet moment had me holding my breath. This is the kind of love story that makes you believe in soulmates, even when the universe is cruel. Episode 7 had me sobbing into my pillow. Absolutely beautiful.

Visually, this is a masterpiece. The color grading shifts from warm, nostalgic tones in the small-town scenes to cold, clinical blues in the hospital — it tells the story without words. The framing of the two leads separated by doorways and rain-streaked windows perfectly mirrors their emotional distance. I could pause every frame and hang it on a wall.

I wanted to love it more, but the pacing in the middle episodes drags significantly. While the acting is solid, the subplot about the meteor felt underdeveloped and almost distracting from the main emotional core. The finale resolves a bit too neatly given the premise. Still, it’s a cut above most BL dramas — just not quite the masterpiece others are claiming.

The soundtrack is the secret weapon of this drama. From the haunting piano motif that plays during Zhan Wang’s hospital scenes to the wistful guitar track during their first real conversation — the music carries so much weight. I’ve already downloaded the OST on repeat. The song 'Lost Time' perfectly captures the ache of loving someone on a deadline.

What stood out to me was the careful handling of Xu Yuan’s trauma — being blamed for every community misfortune is a form of emotional abuse, and the drama doesn’t romanticize it. Their relationship builds on mutual trust and clear, albeit unspoken, consent. However, I wish the side characters (especially the grandmother) had more agency. Still, a refreshingly mature take for a high school BL.
