In the quiet corners of a Manila coffee shop, two strangers—Kaleb and David—collide by chance, sparking a connection that feels both immediate and destined. What begins as a simple encounter blossoms into a tender romance, filled with lazy mornings, shared dreams, and the kind of laughter that makes time stand still. But beneath the surface of their idyllic love story lies a secret so profound it threatens to unravel everything they've built. As the couple navigates jealousy, longing, and the weight of unspoken truths, the film gently unfolds through flashbacks and poignant moments, revealing that some loves are not just born from fate—they are bound by it. With no room for overused BL clichés, this Filipino short film focuses purely on the raw, aching beauty of two souls trying to hold onto each other against invisible odds. The supernatural undertones add a layer of melancholy mystery, making every glance and touch feel precious. Directed with intimate sincerity, 'Lihim' is a bittersweet meditation on love, loss, and the secrets we keep to protect the ones we cherish.

I'm still crying. Kaleb and David have the most natural chemistry I've ever seen in a BL short—every smile, every touch felt so real. The ending broke me, but I'm so grateful this love story exists. Absolutely worth the 20 minutes and a box of tissues.

I appreciate the effort, but the pacing felt rushed and the performances a bit stiff. The 'secret' reveal didn't hit me as hard as others claim—maybe because the short runtime didn't allow enough buildup. Pleasant music and decent cinematography, but not the masterpiece some make it out to be.

Visually, this is one of the best-looking Filipino shorts I've seen. The soft lighting, warm color grading, and intimate framing perfectly capture the tender, fleeting nature of the romance. The coffee shop scene is gorgeously shot. A true treat for the eyes.

The OST is the real MVP here. The piano and strings swell at just the right moments, making the emotional beats land even harder. There's a particular scene where only music plays, and it says more than any dialogue could. I've been humming the melody for days.

I appreciate that the film handles its secret with sensitivity, showing how love can exist even when truth is hidden. The power dynamic is balanced, and both characters treat each other with respect. However, the lack of direct communication about the secret could be seen as problematic. Worth watching for the nuanced portrayal of love and sacrifice.
