In this intense 7-minute Thai short film, Benz (Singto Prachaya Ruangroj) is trapped in a painful one-sided love for his roommate and best friend, Riw. But Riw’s heart belongs to Meen, a mutual friend. What begins as quiet jealousy spirals into something far more dangerous. As Benz watches Riw and Meen grow closer, his suppressed feelings boil over, leading to a shocking, car-driven climax that redefines the meaning of 'LIE.' A raw, compact study in obsession and unrequited desire, this early work from Singto showcases his simmering intensity before he became a BL phenomenon. With no dialogue wasted and every frame loaded with tension, LIE is a must-watch for fans of psychological micro-dramas and those curious about Singto’s debut.

People don't get that this is a micro-short – it's not supposed to have a full arc. Singto's eyes alone tell the whole story of Benz's obsession. That ending shocked me. For a 7-minute film, it packs more emotion than most hour-long dramas.

I admire the ambition, but the pacing is all over the place. The jump from 'Benz is jealous' to 'Benz runs Meen over with a car' is jarring and unearned. The acting is okay, especially Singto, but the story needed at least 15 minutes to breathe.

The music is barely there – just generic ambient sounds. For a short film that relies heavily on mood, the lack of a compelling score really hurts. I wanted to like it for Singto, but the audio design felt amateurish.

That car scene is intense! I wish they'd shown more of the build-up, but when the action hits, it hits hard. Short and brutal – like a punch to the gut. Not your typical BL, more like a thriller with gay undertones.

This romanticizes toxic jealousy and violent possessiveness without any critique. The lack of consequence or emotional resolution is troubling. As a queer narrative, it's a step backward – we need stories about healthy love, not obsessions that end in attempted murder.
