In a world turned upside down by a bizarre epidemic, the 'Kiss Kiss' contagion spreads terror across South Korea. Those infected develop red, hickey-like spots on their necks and are given only 15 days to live. But this is no ordinary pandemic drama—Kiss Kiss leans into absurdist comedy and heartfelt romance. When two gay men find themselves caught in the chaos, their unexpected bond becomes a defiant act of love in the face of mortality. Blending slapstick humor with tender moments, this short film uses its high-concept premise to explore themes of friendship, acceptance, and the preciousness of time. Expect exaggerated situations, quirky characters, and a surprisingly warm emotional core that leaves you smiling through the tears.

I went in expecting a heavy tearjerker but was pleasantly surprised by the exaggerated comedy. The premise is absurd yet the film commits to it fully. Not a masterpiece, but a fun, heartfelt short that knows exactly what it wants to be.

The chemistry between the leads surprised me—so natural and warm. I wish the runtime was longer so I could see more of their love story. The hickey metaphor was cleverly done and the ending left me with a bittersweet smile.

Visually it's charmingly low-budget but creative—the use of color and close-ups on the spots really sells the mood. Some shots feel amateurish but there's a genuine indie spirit. The comedic timing in the editing saves it.

While I appreciate seeing a gay romance in a Korean short, the film never fully addresses the power dynamics of the epidemic or the consent around the 'kiss infection'. It feels like it laughs off a potentially serious allegory, which left me uncomfortable.
