I honestly really loved this season! Sure, it's not as fun as the first one, but the way they showed Hikawa and Akagi working through real relationship problems felt so genuine. The longing and the quiet moments between them made my heart ache in the best way. Not everyone will get it, but for me, it's a beautiful continuation.

The pacing is dreadful—so much repetitive inner monologue and the same argument about the ex-boyfriend over and over. The new character is just a plot device, and the resolution feels rushed. I stuck with it because I liked Season 1, but this season needed tighter writing and a clearer direction.

The lighting is so flat and inconsistent, and those cheap sets really pull you out of the story. There are a few nice close-ups of the actors' expressions, but overall it looks like a student film. For a show trying to tackle mature emotions, the lack of visual polish kills the immersion for me.

I appreciate that the show tries to deal with jealousy and communication issues in a same-sex relationship, but the way Hikawa's indecision is handled feels a bit old-fashioned and frustrating. There's also a lack of clear consent dialogue in some emotional scenes. It's not harmful, but it misses a chance to model healthier conflict resolution.

The soundtrack is actually one of the few things that improved from Season 1. The piano themes and the ending song really captured the melancholic mood. I wish the rest of the production matched that level of care. Still, I listened to the OST on repeat while reading—it's lovely.
