Lee Jun, a former K-pop idol who stepped away from the spotlight, is navigating the mundane world of corporate life as a new intern at a cosmetics company. On his very first day, he’s shocked to discover that his new boss, Choi Jun, is none other than the childhood friend who disappeared from his life without a word years ago. What makes things even more complicated? Choi Jun remembers everything—and he’s not shy about showing it. From playful innuendos to lingering gazes and flirty office banter, Choi Jun makes it clear he’s interested, but Lee Jun is wary. Not only is he trying to prove himself in a high-pressure job, but he’s also juggling the unexpected attention of two other men: his kind but secretive friend Hyun Jae, and a charming former idol acquaintance, Simeon. As Lee Jun and Choi Jun navigate their rekindled connection, misunderstandings arise—especially when Lee Jun learns Choi Jun might be engaged. But beneath the office meetings, work projects, and awkward run-ins, the two share a history of childhood affection that never faded. Jun & Jun is a breezy, visually polished K-BL that leans hard into swoon-worthy chemistry, playful tension, and a sweet (if messy) reunion romance. It’s the kind of show you watch for the fluttering heartbeats and the occasional steamy moment rather than a tightly woven plot.

I don't care what the plot critics say—this show had me giggling and kicking my feet from episode one. The way Choi Jun looks at Lee Jun? The way he teases him in the office? The flirting is next level. And that kiss in episode 8?! I replayed it five times. The leads have this electric push-and-pull that makes every scene feel charged. Yes, the side plot with the other interns is whatever, but when it's just Jun & Jun on screen, it's pure magic. A top-tier comfort BL for me.

I really wanted to like this more because the actors are gorgeous and have decent chemistry, but the plot is so paper-thin it's almost non-existent. Why is Lee Jun an idol if it never matters? Why does Choi Jun have a fiancée subplot that goes nowhere? The middle episodes are padded with boring office meetings and pointless side characters. The miscommunication trope is used as a crutch, and I still don't understand why they never talked about the 15-year separation. If you want a fluff piece that requires zero brainpower, go for it. But if you need a coherent story, skip this.

I came for the BL, but I stayed for the cinematography. The lighting in Jun & Jun is gorgeous—soft golden hues in the flashbacks, cool blues in the office, and the close-ups during the intimate scenes are framed beautifully. The wardrobe team deserves a raise: everyone looks like they stepped out of a K-drama catalog. Even the coffee cups look aesthetically placed. Yes, the editing is a bit jumpy and the flashbacks are confusingly inserted, but visually, this is one of the prettiest K-BLs I've seen. I'd watch a silent version of it.

I'm probably in the minority, but I was way more invested in Hyun Jae and Simeon than the main couple. The way they bicker and then slowly warm up to each other? That's the real slow-burn. I wish the show had given them more screen time and development instead of wasting episodes on office meetings. The main couple is cute, but their relationship feels rushed and underdeveloped. Meanwhile, the side couple's potential is barely touched. I'd watch a spin-off of just those two. Still, it's a decent watch if you're into the 'rivals to something more' dynamic.

I have mixed feelings. Choi Jun's behavior toward Lee Jun often crosses into uncomfortable territory for me. He's his boss, and he constantly touches him, invades his personal space, and makes innuendos without clear reciprocation initially. The power imbalance is never addressed. Lee Jun's childlike reactions don't help—he seems unable to set boundaries. Three men pursuing an intern who acts like a teenager? That's a red flag. While the show clearly aims for fluffy romance, it inadvertently normalizes workplace harassment. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but I couldn't enjoy it.

I always pay close attention to the OST and background music, but Jun & Jun disappointed me in that department. The main theme is pleasant but generic—it sounds like it could be from any K-drama. There are no standout tracks that I'd want to add to my playlist. The music during the romantic scenes is functional but doesn't enhance the emotion. I did appreciate the sound design in the office scenes, but overall, the soundtrack is forgettable. For a show that relies so much on mood and vibes, better music would have elevated it significantly.
