I was so afraid this would be another painful love triangle, but the way Yeon U grows and finds his own happiness actually made me cry. The scene where his dad says 'if it's someone you like, I'm fine with anyone' had me in tears. The chemistry with the lead is soft and realistic. Definitely a comfort watch for anyone who's ever loved someone they couldn't have.

The premise is interesting, but 40 episodes of 2-3 minutes each means no scene gets room to breathe. The resolution feels rushed and I wanted more time with the end couple. The acting is decent and the father character is a highlight, but the pacing hurt what could have been a stronger emotional payoff. Still, for a free vertical web series, it's fine.

Visually, this is surprisingly polished for a vertical web drama. The color grading leans warm and the close-ups really capture the actors' micro-expressions. That shot of them changing while facing away from each other was beautifully framed — simple but loaded. The format limits wider shots, but the director makes smart use of phone screens. A solid watch for aesthetics lovers.

I appreciate that this story doesn't villainize the sister or turn the engagement into a melodramatic betrayal. Instead, it explores how Yeon U learns to respect boundaries and prioritize his own emotional health. The depiction of coming out to a supportive parent is a rare and valuable positive model. My only critique is the ambiguous handling of U Jin's feelings — some clarity would have helped the consent narrative.
