James, a successful director riding high on the buzz of his latest BL series '2 Nights,' finds himself entangled in a secret love affair with his lead actor, Ait. Their hidden romance becomes a dangerous game when Bas, a sharp-eyed crew member, uncovers their secret. Meanwhile, Marco, Ait’s co-star, has been silently harboring feelings for James for years, adding another layer of emotional complexity. Inspired by true events, this Thai BL film peels back the glamorous curtain of the entertainment industry to reveal the messy, passionate, and often painful realities of love behind the scenes. As loyalties are tested and truths unfold, each character must confront what they are willing to risk for love. A raw, emotionally charged drama that blends steamy romance with heartfelt introspection, It's Complicated offers a mature look at queer relationships in a world where public image and private desires collide.

I absolutely loved every moment of this film! The chemistry between James and Ait is electric, and the tension had me on the edge of my seat. Even though it’s heartbreaking, the love feels so real. Definitely my favorite Thai BL film this year!

It had a compelling premise, but the execution felt uneven. Some scenes drag on too long, and the resolution for Marco’s arc felt rushed. I appreciate the realistic take, but I wish the script had tighter pacing. Not bad, just not great.

Visually, this film is stunning. The lighting in the backstage scenes, the intimate framing of conversations—every shot feels deliberate. I could pause at almost any moment and have a beautiful still. It elevated the emotional weight for me.

The soundtrack is subtle but perfectly matched to the mood. There’s a recurring piano theme that breaks my heart every time. I wish there were more original songs, but what’s there is used sparingly and effectively. Worth a listen even after the film.

While the film tries to address power dynamics in a director-actor relationship, it doesn’t fully explore the ethical issues. James holds clear power over Ait, but the narrative treats their affair as romantic rather than problematic. I wanted more critical reflection.
