Innocent Special is a hauntingly beautiful Taiwanese short film that masterfully blends psychological drama with tender romance. The story follows Yu Shi, a young man carrying the weight of a childhood accident that fractured his psyche into two distinct personalities. There's his gentle, vulnerable self, and Noah—a quiet, emotionless protector who has shielded Yu Shi from harm for years. But when a mysterious new presence enters their lives, the delicate balance between them begins to unravel. This artistic, minimalist teaser offers a glimpse into a world where identity, trauma, and love collide. With stunning cinematography, evocative music, and raw performances from Blake Chang and Yi Da Dian, Innocent Special delivers an emotionally charged preview that has left fans desperate for a full series. It's a rare, sensitive exploration of Dissociative Identity Disorder within a queer romance framework—equal parts heartbreaking and hopeful.

A really beautiful teaser! The vibe is artistic, minimalistic but still gorgeous and full of emotions. The acting, direction, and music are all amazing. I'm immediately tempted to watch it again. I just hope the full series comes out soon!

I'm a sucker for tender, emotional BLs, and this short film hit me right in the heart. The way Noah protects Yu Shi without words—I felt every second of their connection. Even as a teaser, it's more romantic than some full series.

As a cinematography geek, I was blown away by the visual storytelling. The long, static shots, the muted color palette, the way the camera lingers on faces—it's pure art. It's a shame we only get a taste, but what a taste!

I appreciate the ambition to tackle DID in a BL context, but as a teaser, there's almost no plot development. The pacing is very slow, and while pretty, it left me wanting substance. Worth a look for the aesthetics, but don't expect a full story.

The representation of dissociative identity disorder is handled with care—no sensationalism, just quiet pain. I wish the short explored the ethics of the protector/protected dynamic more, but for a 10-minute piece, it's a respectful and thoughtful start.
