Innocent is a groundbreaking Taiwanese BL miniseries that bravely explores Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) through the story of Zheng Yu Shi, a man harboring two distinct personalities: the innocent, childlike Yu Shi and the fiercely protective Noah. When Yu Shi crosses paths with the gentle and patient Wu Zheng, an unlikely bond forms. Wu Zheng finds himself drawn to Yu Shi's pure vulnerability, but Noah is deeply skeptical of this new presence. As Wu Zheng slowly unravels the truth behind Yu Shi's condition—a traumatic past event that fractured his psyche—he must navigate the delicate balance between loving the man as a whole and accepting each fragment of his identity. With stunning cinematography, a haunting OST, and an incredibly nuanced dual performance from Yi Da Dian, this four-episode series packs an emotional punch that lingers long after the credits roll. It's a tender, thought-provoking drama about unconditional love, healing, and the courage to embrace someone completely—flaws, scars, and all. Perfect for viewers seeking a mature, character-driven story that treats mental health with sensitivity and depth.

I absolutely adored this! Wu Zheng is the most caring, patient partner I've ever seen in a BL. The way he looks at Yu Shi with pure love made me cry. Yes, it's short and a bit confusing at times, but the chemistry between the leads is off the charts. The cactus scene? I melted. Watch the special episode too!

The acting and music are solid, but the pacing is a mess. They jump around in time without making it clear, and then throw in a pointless side couple in the final episode that just wastes minutes. The ending feels rushed and overly convenient. I wanted to love the unique concept, but the execution let it down.

This series is a feast for the eyes—soft lighting, intimate framing, and a moody color palette that shifts with Yu Shi's personalities. I paused several times just to appreciate a shot. The transition scenes between Yu Shi and Noah are cleverly done using glasses and physical cues. A masterclass in visual storytelling on a small budget.

I appreciate the attempt to portray DID, but the sexual relationship with Yu Shi (who has the mental age of a child) raises serious ethical red flags. The therapist's violation of confidentiality also bothered me. Wu Zheng seems to fall for the childlike personality first, and that dynamic felt exploitative despite the show's good intentions. Not for everyone.

The OST is incredible! The end-credit theme is so hauntingly beautiful that I immediately looked it up after finishing. Even the background score during quiet moments feels perfectly chosen—like the soft piano when Wu Zheng comforts Yu Shi. I haven't stopped humming the main theme for days. Truly elevates the drama.
