This summer, Asahi returns to his rural hometown expecting quiet days tending his family's tea fields. Instead, he finds Louis, a gorgeous French exchange student who has fallen head-over-heels for Japanese tea culture and has moved in to help with the harvest. Louis is disarmingly open and affectionate, always touching Asahi's hand or smiling too warmly, leaving Asahi flustered and confused. I'm absolutely melted by this show! Louis is the most adorable exchange student ever – his open affection for Asahi and the tea fields is so pure. Every episode leaves me smiling. Sure, it's a bit short, but the chemistry is undeniable. Perfect summer BL!

The concept is cute, but the 30 episodes feel like a stretched-out 90-minute film. Pacing drags in the middle, and the conflict is resolved too easily. As a plot critic, I wanted more obstacles or deeper character development. Still, it's harmless fluff.

The vertical format works surprisingly well for close-ups of tea leaves, hands brushing, and shy glances. The color grading is warm and golden – very Instagrammable. A shame some episodes feel like filler, but visually it's a treat.

I appreciate that this BL focuses on consent and emotional readiness – Asahi's hesitation is treated with respect. But the French cultural stereotypes felt a bit cliché. Still, a nice, safe romance that doesn't push boundaries. Good for beginners.
