When musician Pepper's life is turned upside down after witnessing a murder committed by the son of a powerful politician, he's thrust into Thailand's Witness Protection Program—and into the reluctant care of Lieutenant Pongpuen, a stern but devoted officer. Forced to leave his music career behind and adopt a new identity, Pepper struggles with isolation and fear, while Pongpuen must balance his duty with the unexpected protective instincts the vulnerable musician stirs in him. As they navigate close quarters and escalating danger, their initial friction gives way to a tender, slow-burn romance. What makes I Will Always Save You special is its seamless blend of heart-pounding tension and laugh-out-loud comedy, all while exploring themes of trust, identity, and the healing power of connection. With standout performances from Jojo and Sea as the leads—plus a charming second couple played by Jimmy and Dunk—this series promises to be a delightful, emotional roller-coaster for fans of Thai BL.

I am absolutely obsessed with Pepper and Pongpuen! Their banter is hilarious, but the moment they slow down and look at each other—my heart melts. The way Pongpuen softens around Pepper is everything I wanted from a protective romance. Already rewatching their scenes!

I appreciate the attempt at mixing comedy with a crime backdrop, but the witness protection logistics feel really flimsy. Why is no one verifying Pepper’s new identity properly? Also, the pacing drags in the middle episodes. Cute moments, but I wish the writing was tighter.

Don't come expecting hardcore gunfights or chase scenes—this is a rom-com first. That said, the few action sequences are surprisingly well done for a BL drama. The threat from the politician's son feels real enough to keep the stakes high. I just wish they'd lean into the tension more.

The lighting and color grading are gorgeous—warm, intimate tones for the safe-house scenes, and cold, desaturated colors when danger looms. The camera lingers on small details like Pepper’s fingers on a piano key or Pongpuen’s clenched jaw. It’s a feast for the eyes, seriously elevating the emotional beats.

I really appreciate how the show handles consent and agency—Pepper is never just a damsel; he actively negotiates his boundaries with Pongpuen. The power imbalance (cop vs. witness) is acknowledged rather than glossed over. A few moments still feel slightly coercive due to the protective trope, but overall it’s a step in the right direction.
