Picking up after the tender conclusion of 'I Told Sunset About You,' this sequel finds Teh and Oh-aew blissfully settled into their relationship and embarking on a new chapter in Bangkok. Their love, once a secret whispered under the Phuket sun, is now open and celebrated, especially with Teh's family’s full support. But as university life pulls them into different orbits, the couple begins to drift. Teh throws himself into the drama club, discovering a fierce passion for acting that consumes his time and emotions, while Oh-aew, struggling to find his footing in a new major, starts forging his own path and friendships. The distance between them grows, not just in schedules but in understanding. Old insecurities resurface, and when Teh becomes drawn to his charismatic director, Jai, a moment of vulnerability threatens to shatter everything they've built. This is not a simple love story but a raw, unflinching look at growing up, changing, and the terrifying possibility that love alone may not be enough to hold two people together. With stunning cinematography and heart-wrenching performances, 'I Promised You the Moon' challenges the idea of a fairy-tale ending, asking instead: what happens after the sunset?

I came into this wanting to see Teh and Oh-aew happy forever, and instead they ripped my heart out – and then slowly pieced it back together. Yes, the cheating hurt so much, but I understood why Teh fell for Jai (loneliness, admiration, feeling lost). What got me through was the final episode: seeing them choose each other again, more mature and honest than before. That beach scene… I sobbed. Billkin and PP have the most soul-baring chemistry I've ever seen. This season proved that real love isn't perfect – it's choosing to stay even after everything. 9/10 for making me feel everything.

I’m tired of sequels that ruin perfectly good characters. Teh goes from a sensitive, devoted boyfriend to a walking red flag who kisses another guy while his boyfriend watches? And then we're supposed to root for him again after a time skip? The logic doesn't hold up. Oh-aew forgives way too easily, and Jai's manipulative side is introduced so late it feels like a cheap excuse for Teh's behavior. The pacing also suffers from the yearly time jumps – we lose the intimate day-to-day moments that made ITSAY great. Beautiful to look at, but the story structure is a mess.

This is the most visually stunning Thai drama I've ever seen, period. The color palette is genius – Teh's blue fading into Oh-aew's red, and then the way the aquarium kiss uses both underwater hues to signify their public love. Every shot is deliberate: the lonely rooftop, the claustrophobic backstage, the wide-open Phuket beach that bookends the season. Director Meen knows how to use negative space and silence. I paused multiple times just to absorb the composition. Even if the story makes you angry, you can't deny the artistry. A masterclass in visual storytelling.

The music in this season is a character in itself. PP Krit's 'I Promised You the Moon' and Billkin's cover of 'Fake Protagonist' hit so differently when you know what's coming. The instrumental tracks during the tense scenes – especially the three descending notes before Teh's betrayal – gave me chills. And can we talk about the sound design? The absence of music during the most painful arguments forces you to sit in the raw silence with the characters. It's brave and effective. I made a playlist immediately after watching. The OST elevates an already emotional story.

I appreciate the show's willingness to tackle the messiness of adult relationships, but I have concerns about how narrative framing absolves Teh of responsibility. The kiss during rehearsal is presented as a 'slip' driven by Jai's manipulation, which diminishes Teh's agency. Real cheating often isn't an accident – it's a series of choices. I also noticed that Oh-aew's pain is mostly shown through his silent suffering, while Teh gets a grand redemption arc. On the plus side, the depiction of a supportive mother and open same-sex affection in public is refreshing. The show could have handled consent and accountability better, but it sparks necessary conversation.

Okay, I know the main storyline is about Teh and Oh, but can we talk about Q, Top, and Khim? I loved seeing Oh-aew's new friend group – they felt like real people, not just plot devices. Q in particular stole my heart with his laid-back support and his weird love triangle with Plug and Mang. And Top and Khim's potential romance? I was totally shipping them! Even Jai as an antagonist was compelling – I wanted to hate him but I couldn't. The side characters added so much depth to the world. I'd watch a spin-off just about them.
