Set against the neon-lit backdrop of Hong Kong, 'I'm a Fool for You Season 3' continues the emotionally raw story of three young men—Jin, Ming, and Kai—who once shared a fragile, three-way relationship. Years after a painful departure that shattered their bond, fate forces them to cross paths again. Now adults carrying invisible scars, they must confront the ghosts of their shared past and the question of whether love can survive betrayal, distance, and time. This five-episode miniseries dives deep into themes of heartbreak, identity, and the courage to hope again. With intimate performances by Pius Kung, Owan, and Bowie Guan, the drama weaves a melancholy yet tender narrative that refuses to shy away from the complexities of queer love and polyamory. A hauntingly beautiful exploration of what it means to be lost—and found—in a gloomy world.

I am absolutely wrecked. The way this drama handles three people loving each other but still falling apart is so painfully real. Pius, Owan, and Bowie have incredible chemistry—I felt every tear they shed. If you want a beautiful, heartbreaking story that stays with you, watch this.

I appreciate the attempt at a polyamorous storyline, but the pacing is off. Five episodes aren't enough to develop three complex characters and their shared history—too many flashbacks and not enough present-day tension. The ending felt rushed and a bit too ambiguous for my taste.

Visually stunning. The use of neon reflections and rain-soaked streets in Hong Kong perfectly mirrors the characters' inner turmoil. Every shot feels intentional—the color grading shifts from warm to cold as relationships fracture. A masterclass in moody, atmospheric filmmaking for a micro-budget series.

I appreciate that the show tackles polyamory without demonizing it, but I wish it had explored consent and communication more deeply. The characters often bottle up their feelings leading to avoidable hurt—it felt like a lost opportunity to model healthier relationships. Still, it's a brave step for BL.

The soundtrack is the hidden gem of this series. The recurring piano theme during the parting scenes literally gave me chills. Each song choice amplifies the loneliness and longing. I've been streaming the OST on repeat for weeks. Only wish there were more tracks to enjoy.
