In this deeply emotional sequel, aspiring musician Hin returns to Hong Kong, still chasing his dream of a music career while navigating a tangled web of old friendships and new complications. Season 2 peels back the layers of Hin's past, revealing the unresolved tension between his best friend Hugo—who has secretly loved him for years—and his ex-boyfriend Yin. As Hin struggles to prioritize his ambitions over his heart, Hugo confronts his own painful journey of self-discovery and family rejection, leading to a devastating crisis. Meanwhile, a mysterious new character, Victor, adds further confusion to an already fragile love triangle. With only four episodes, this miniseries dives into themes of unrequited love, toxic self-absorption, and the messy realities of growing up. Though rough around the edges in production, the raw sincerity of the cast and the poignant emotional beats make this a compelling, if frustrating, watch for fans of angsty, character-driven queer dramas.

I can't help but root for Hin and Hugo even though Hin is so frustrating! The angst is real and I felt every tear. Yes, the production is rough, but the emotional beats hit me hard. I just want them to be happy!

This season is even more confusing than the first. Time jumps come out of nowhere, characters appear without explanation (who is Victor?), and the dialogue is stilted. The emotional moments feel unearned because the storytelling is so disjointed.

I appreciate that the show tries to address Hugo's family rejection and depression realistically, but Hin's constant self-pity and manipulation of those who care about him is hard to watch. The power dynamics are toxic and not called out enough.

Where did the beautiful theme from Season 1 go? The new music is forgettable, and Hin's singing voice is painfully amateurish—they should have dubbed it. The lack of a strong OST makes the emotional scenes fall flat.
